CommunityIQ is a web application that community managers use to run their programs. It connects your Google Calendar and Slack workspace so you can create events, share them into Slack channels, collect RSVPs, and publish public directories of your programs and contributors.
The purpose of this application.
CommunityIQ is built for community managers, developer relations teams, and program leads who organise events and maintain member programs. Instead of switching between Google Calendar, Slack, and spreadsheets, they use CommunityIQ to do the following:
- Publish community events. Connect a Google Calendar, then create and edit events from Slack. Events stay in sync with the calendar the team already uses.
- Announce events and collect RSVPs. Share an event into a Slack channel so members can see the details and RSVP with a click. Responses are written back to the Google Calendar event.
- Keep everyone on one schedule. Members open the CommunityIQ app in Slack to see every upcoming event from the calendars they have access to.
- Publish public directories. Teams create public web pages listing their programs and contributors, so community members can browse them without an account.
- Keep records in sync. Community data can be synced to Salesforce, and access to sensitive content can be gated behind identity checks.
How CommunityIQ uses your Google account.
Connecting a Google account is optional. When you connect one, CommunityIQ reads your list of calendars and manages events on the calendars you select, so your community events can be shown, created, updated, and RSVP'd to from Slack. We do not sell your Google data or use it for advertising, and you can disconnect at any time.
